Homework week 7 ~ My ad :)

1. What message you hope the ad will deliver.

I hope that this anti bullying poster, will give the message to teenagers, that bullying is not acceptable. I have put the message in a stop sign, because that gives a clear, strong message that it is unacceptable, and will not be tolerated. Then i have a picture of a boy physically bullying another boy, then a note saying, imagine if you where the victim.

2. Why did you make certain choices regarding colour schemes, graphics and words?

I chose the red for the stop sign because it is simple and effective, and the phrase "imagine if you were the victim" is also very simple, but can clearly portray the message to the audience.

3. How effective do you think this ad will be?

I think my ad will be very effective, because as simple as it is, it has a very strong message, and is easy to understand.

4. Who is the target audience of your ad? I.e which age group, boys or girls, etc.

The target audience for my ad is around the teenage age group, both boys and girls. This is because the ad is very easy for younger people to understand, and the image helps see the message.

Agree:
It is unfair, for the women in Northern India, that their much loved, long luscious hair, has to all be all shaved off dry, causing them to be left in pain, whilst their hair is sold for up to $5000 dollars to rich women that live in the country, an not one cent of the money going towards the women's who hair it is.

The money that being paid for the hair extentions goes towards the Indian temple. They await on a cold stone floor for hours, to then have to sacrifice their hair as they have it shaved dry, leaving their head balled, and in pain.

In conclusion, i agree with the article, and that it is unfair to the Northern Indian women to be told that they have to sacrifice their hair.

Disagree:
I am writing this letter to disagree with the article, because i think that beauty comes as a price, and if celebrity's want to buy the hair extensions than it is their choice and they shouldn't been criticized for it. It is not such a big deal for the women in Northern India to give up their hair once they have had it long for more than 15 years.

I think it would be nice for the Indian women to have no hair to worry about and it will keep them cooler in the hot seasons when they don't have long hair draped over their soldiers.

In conclusion, i think that it should be up to themselves if people want to but hair extensions to make their hair thicker and longer, so the public should not critize them as it is their choice.

Homework Week 7 ~ (picture analysis)

Picture one: This is a picture of a green frog with the green background, which is representing Recycling, Reuse, and environmentally friendly. This is to encourage more people to start recycling. This is aimed at a wide range of people, because it is so simple, and clearly portrays the message which is trying to be set. The quote at the bottom is simple and easy to remember and that is why the creator used it. I think the advertisement reaches its purpose of getting the message about recycling across. Green has been used in this image to represent the environment, and so the message stands clear that it is about recycling.

Picture two: This image is encouraging people to vote earth, and help the environment. This image is advertising, that on Saturday March the 28 8:30pm to 9:30pm. This is hoping that people will turn their lights of for an hour for the earth. This advertisement is aimed at older people because young people are most likely not to do it. Again, green is used to give the earth, and environment effect. On the top of the advertisement it gets people interested in what it is about. The diagram is also a big help to show what the advertisement is about.
